Now you can 3D print keycaps (or anything else) in official Noctua Brown

Noctua’s PC case fans are quiet. Really, really quiet, much quieter than its human fans, which are vociferous in their praise of the Austrian cooling manufacturer, and sometimes willing to shell out serious dosh for GPU collaborations. But if you’re looking to save a little money, now you can print a new shroud for your graphics card in 100% official Noctua Brown and Beige.

The licensed filament is a collaboration with Prusa (spotted by PC Gamer), and it should be compatible with any 3D printer that can use polylactic acid (PLA) plastic. The promotional images show a full PC case and mechanical keyboard keycaps (oh, you sultry temptress) made out of Noctua’s distinctive colors. The two plastic options are “carefully fine-tuned for maximum consistency with Noctua’s signature shades of beige and brown.”

Noctua/Prusa

Filament rolls can be had for $33 USD or 33 euro for a kilogram from the Prusa site. That’s double or even triple the price of budget filament you can find elsewhere…but Noctua fans (the human ones) are used to paying top dollar. If you’re looking for inspiration, Noctua has an official — and very popular! — account over a Printables with various accessories designed by the company itself, and a few more from other designers. Now you can print a tiny model wind tunnel in official Noctua Brown. What a time to be alive.
